FONA-CAR have been providing the people of the Dearne Valley with a local reliable taxi service for around 20 years now.

All our drivers are fully licenced by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council and have had a full CRB check carried out by the police.

Originally called Swinton Taxis and operating from different premises, they changed their name to FONA-CAR around 15 years ago at which point they relocated to their present office on Church Street in Swinton, opposite the Robin Hood pub.

Over the last few years the owners Alan Cartmell and Pete Swan have developed the business into the regions most reliable and trustworthy private hire company.  FONA-CAR are not only able to provide local people with a fast and efficient taxi service but also provide customers throughout most of the South Yorkshire region with a trustworthy and reliable airport and coastal transport service.

FONA-CAR now consists of around 24 cars able to accomodate up to 4 passengers along with two modern minibuses and one people carrier able to carry groups of up to 7, 8, 11, & 15 passengers.
