Useful Information
Airports:
- When considdering the time you would like picking up for your airport transfer, it is generally good practice to add at least 1 to 1 1/2 journey time. For example if check in opens at 20:00hrs and the transfer normally takes 1 hour then it would be wise to allow at least 1 extra hour for the journey and arrange pickup for 17:30 to 18:00. This extra time allows for instances such as rush hour traffic, traffic caused by accidents, road closures, punctures etc... After all better to arrive an hour early than 5 minutes late.
- Please remember to have your tickets to hand as the driver will want to double check your return flight details.
- It is a good idea to leave the driver with a mobile telephone number. Airport arrival areas are extremely busy and customers sometimes find it hard to see a vehicle that is parked at the other end of the car park.
- Please remember when booking to inform us about the amount of luggage you will have. This is especially important if there are eight or more passengers all with luggage or those of you travelling with other items such as wheelchairs etc... We do have a trailer for those of you with large amounts of luggage. This must be mentioned when booking.
Taxi Work:
- When booking a taxi please bear in mind the type of vehicle you require. For instance if you have a large amount of shopping, a large wheelchair or pram etc... then it would be wise to mention this when booking so that we can send you an estate vehicle in order to accommodate you.
- Remember that private hire cars are only allowed to carry up to four passengers. This is governed by Rotherham Council, the police and insurance companies. If you have more than four passengers then please mention this when booking so we can send you a people carrier or minibus. Please note that this rule also includes small children and babies as they are still classed as a full passenger. For example if their are two adults, two kids and one baby this will still be classed as five passengers.
- Please remember that we will not under any circumstances tollerate both verbal and physical abuse. If you have any problems with any driver then please telephone our office and pass your comments on to the operetator who will ask a member of the management to call you.
- The taxi driver reserves the right to refuse entry to the vehicle for any person whom they deem unsuitable.
- This includes those who are severely over intoxicated either by drink or drugs.
- Those who are behaving in a violent or abuse manner.
- Any person who is dirty or covered in any substance that can be transferred to the vehicle.
- Any person who has previously been refused entry to one of our vehicles or asked to vacate one of our vehicles.
- Any person who the driver thinks does not have the means to pay for the hire of the vehicle.
